Orders & Shipping

Order Confirmation

Once your order has been placed, you will receive an email confirming that we have received your order.

When your order has been packed and dispatched, you will receive a second email containing your shipping confirmation and tracking information (where applicable).

Please note that an order confirmation acknowledges receipt of your order and does not constitute acceptance of the order. All orders remain subject to stock availability, payment authorisation and acceptance by Sama Sama.


Ready-to-Ship Orders

In-stock items are generally processed within 1–3 business days before being dispatched.

During collection launches, promotional periods or sale events, processing times may be slightly longer.


Pre-Orders

As a slow fashion brand, many of our garments are produced in small, considered batches. Where an item is not immediately available, we may offer it as a Pre-Order.

Estimated production times vary depending on the style but are generally 2–3 weeks. The estimated lead time will be displayed on the relevant product page at the time of purchase.

If your chosen size or colour is currently unavailable and not listed as a pre-order, you're welcome to contact us at support@samasama.co.za. Where possible, we'll gladly see whether another production run can accommodate your request.

If your order contains both ready-to-ship and pre-order items, we may hold the order and ship everything together once all items are available, unless otherwise agreed. If you require your in-stock items sooner, please contact us and we'll do our best to assist. Additional shipping charges may apply for split deliveries.


Order Changes & Cancellations

Should you wish to amend or cancel your order, please contact us as soon as possible at support@samasama.co.za.

Once an order has entered production or has been dispatched, we may no longer be able to make changes or cancel it.


Custom Orders

At this stage, we do not offer custom garment alterations, made-to-order sizing or personalised design modifications.

As a small-batch slow fashion brand, our production process does not allow for individual garment customisation. However, if you have a specific request, please get in touch at support@samasama.co.za and we will always do our best to assist where possible.


Shipping & Delivery

South Africa

We deliver throughout South Africa using BobGo and our network of trusted courier partners.

Estimated delivery times after dispatch are:

  • Major metropolitan areas: 1–3 business days

  • Regional and outlying areas: up to 10 business days

Orders are generally dispatched within 1–3 business days, excluding pre-orders.

Shipping rates are:

  • Western Cape: R70

  • Rest of South Africa: R90

  • Free shipping on all South African orders over R1,500

Shipping rates may be updated from time to time and the applicable rate will always be displayed at checkout.

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive an email containing your tracking information so you can follow your parcel's journey.


International Shipping

We ship internationally using DHL Express.

International shipping charges are calculated at checkout based on your delivery destination and parcel weight. Standard shipping rates apply to parcels up to 2.5 kg (5.5 lbs).

Orders are generally processed within 1–3 business days (excluding pre-orders).

Estimated delivery is approximately 15–20 business days after dispatch, depending on your location. Delivery times may vary due to customs processing and local courier networks, which are outside of our control.


Customs & Import Duties

International customers are solely responsible for any customs duties, import taxes, VAT, clearance fees or other government charges imposed by the destination country.

These charges are not included in your purchase price or shipping fee and cannot be estimated by Sama Sama.

We recommend contacting your local customs authority before placing an order if you are unsure of any applicable charges.

Orders refused due to unpaid customs or import charges will not be refunded for the original shipping costs.


Delivery Information

Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address and contact details when placing an order.

Sama Sama cannot be held responsible for delays, failed deliveries or additional costs resulting from incorrect or incomplete delivery information supplied by the customer.

Should a parcel be returned to us due to an incorrect address, failed delivery attempts or non-collection, we will gladly arrange re-delivery once the parcel has been received back by us. Any additional shipping costs incurred for re-delivery will be the responsibility of the customer.


Delivery Delays

While we work closely with our courier partners to ensure timely delivery, estimated delivery times are provided as a guide only.

Sama Sama shall not be held liable for delays caused by courier companies, customs authorities, severe weather, public holidays, industrial action or any other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
